Not mine and I do not know the seller. Decent wood and interesting action but does not look like any Merkel I've ever seen.

We are used to seeing pre war Merkels on this site. This one is post war/post reunification and was likely made in the old "People's factory. It seems to have been, at least, partially based on the old "Simson Jaeger patent"( with the twin underlugs).

I could be wrong but I think that weight for a 12 gauge is kind of optimistic. Maybe he meant to type 6 lbs, 14oz which is closer to the 2 post war Merkels I have. Mind you mine both have cheek pieces.

Is the receiver alloy? It does appear strange.

I think alloy too. Further along in the pics there is one of the action. It appears to have some steel inserts at places that wear would occur. Possible the double lug is needed for the alloy receiver as well. Sub 6# may be possible.

Looks like a decent shooter, but opening bid is pretty optimistic.

That thing is an eyesore.

Looks like a Yugo with a BMW logo.
