The forend iron in pic #2 is identical to the iron on a Model 37 28 gauge, different than all the other Model 37 gauges. Complete forend disassembly required to remove forend and barrels. Did you happen to notice the checkered stock? I've not seen a model 24 with checkered wood either. A mystery for sure.

SN 104594 Unfortunately, Model 24 records were apparently not kept after SN 64XXX in 48' through the end of production (total 116280) in 58'. I assume Cody would therefore have no record of the 2 "Special Deluxe"? If not, how does the seller know there is (only?) one other?
