Seriously??? Perhaps you really never saw or heard any of us discussing the many Executive Orders Barack Hussein Obama signed to circumvent what he could not get past Congress. A number of those Executive Orders were signed to impose restrictions on the Constitutional Gun Rights of law abiding U.S. Citizens. And at the same time, non-citizens who were illegally crossing the border by the millions were given a pass, and given freebies like Welfare, Food Stamps, Education, and Health Care, courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers.

And you say you are concerned about what some future Democrat/Socialist President might do to restrict the 2nd Amendment. Holy crap man... are you thinking at all? The Heller and McDonald Supreme Court decisions of 2008 and 2010 affirming the Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms both passed by a 5 to 4 margin. So how do you think we would fare for years to come if a Hillary, Biden, Sanders, or Bloomberg got the chance to seat a few more anti-2nd Amendment Justices?

You are right Keith. But that does not mean what trump is doing is right either. Wrong is wrong, irregardless of the color of its stripes

Maybe so dal, but dont you think some particulars are a good idea? Read cbacks earlier comment. Do you think you are basing you comment on skewed reporting up around your neck of the woods. Facts? Do you have them like black face pictures of your pm? Not too bad eh? Different standards? Maybe, but whyd you folks re-elect him, mindset, culture?

I don't much like commenting on politics. But the assault ban attempt in Virginia just beaten back was the thin edge of a very large wedge. This is going to be a continuous fight:

I don't either but I will again break protocol by posting this circa 1969 quote:

Direct Quote-

>>The purpose of the import restriction provisions in the
Gun Control Act of 1968, passed on the wave of public outrage that followed the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, was to keep such pistols out of the hands of criminals, delinquents and the mentally unstable by reducing the number available in this country.<<

I have heard the same verbiage again & again all my life(1968 - year of my birth) and it is a farce for a much deeper deletion of a basic freedom. I don't think the fight has ever ceased.

Argo44:

I heavily fancy the wedge analogy. Too, I've lifted your firearms merchant to carpet merchant comparision.......

Not sure how many times I can say it, Trudeau sucks. But I hold ALL politicians to the same standard. But I guess thats a hard concept for some to understand.....

Everyman needs a strong economy, period. He needs politicians who understand that fact.
A politician who doesnt know how to do that, or, worse, ignores it, is of no use to most.
The prior president has had any legacy he thought would be granted to his memory, erased. Exactly as it should be.

Best,
Ted

So dal, which is it, he sucks because he's a racist protected by hypocrisy, or because of his policy? I guess it's a hard concept for some to understand, but what does wrong is wrong mean? Is it that the US President sucks, or he doesn't get the consideration as your brutal gangs of 'colour'?

Trudumb looks pretty good about now!

I think we have a case of the pot calling the kettle, although it's not really a kettle......it has nothing to do with stove tops.

Trudeau was anointed PM by a crowd who worshiped his father. The most divisive PM in our history. Until now. Trudeau Jr's virtue signalling and utter non performance in actually governing has brought on, since he was re-elected last fall a unity crisis, and now a national transportation and economic crisis.

Maybe you though no one would call you on the outrageous bullshit of pretending Trudeau is doing okay, at least better than Trump, because your audience here is mostly American and may not be up to speed with the doings of our very own Crisis King.

There is no world where Trudeau's performance over the last five years can be called anything but disastrous for Canada. It will take us decades to clean up his messes.

As I said in one of my earlier posts in this thread, the hypocrisy of the left always astounds me and Dal, pretending that Trump is even in the same room as Trudeau on the subject of nepotism and autocratic behavior, takes the cake. This is the guy who wished Canada was "more like China, where they can just get stuff done". Who paid off the 17 yo student he banged while a teacher with a $2.5 million NDA. The blackface guy. The Kokanee Groper. The man who destroyed the career of Admiral Norman, second in command of our armed forces because he was trying to make sure his buddies, the Irvings, got their contracts to fleece the taxpayer once again. Same with the whole SNC Lavalin affair.....I mean the list is freaking endless and you hold him up as some exemplar???? What's wrong with you?

Back on topic.....The Virginia success is just one battle of many that will have to be joined. We have a big one going on in Canada right now. They won't end. We just need to be smart and we need to be persistent.
