Must be, in certain sectors.. Anyone talked to or dealt with Kirby Hoyt recently.? I met him at the MI UP Father's Day weekend clays event in 1910-- very fine gent. He let me handle a 12 bore Churchill XXV- said I could shoot it on a clays open event to see how well it might fit me-- I passed, but it showed me what a fine gent he is- a few years later I bought a field grade 12 Smith from him- SST and EJ-- when I asked him what to add for shipping costs- he asked if I was a Veteran? "Yes"! He told me that he doesn't charge for shipping to Vets- I found that quite impressive-wonder if other dealers in the USA offer that?? RWTF

Foxy; Just can't pass this one up. You met Kirby Hoyt in "1910"?? Plus you were already old enough to handle a gun. My Mom & Dad were both born in 1910, which would make them 109 years old were they still alive.
That makes you a mighty Old Man.

Like Patton, it must have been in an earlier life. Typos NEVER happen.

All in fun Fox. Just try to remember that any of us can type something silly at any time. Casting stones is always rewarded in kind...Geo

Obviously when I started my post with "Foxy; Just can't pass this one up" I knew it was a typo. Ted made his post while I was typing or I would not have added to it. As Geo said, All in Fun, & anyone who has followed this board will well know I have made my share of TYPOs.

Me too- Patton was born, as was Hemingway, before 1900--I did a typo, we met in 2010 at the Sagola Gun Club, near Iron Mountain, MI- June, Father's Day week-end. I liked the 30 bird pigeon ring best, I broke 27 clays out of 30 thrown, BUT- only scored 22, as the tape tags affixed to each clay had to drop inside the fenced in circle- and even if you shatter the clay, that old devil Mr. Breeze can push the tape outside of the scoring ring. I never have shot real columbaire or box released pigeons, just a "schmidt-load' of the barn versions awing-- tricky, indeed. RWTF

Hey Bill- my Corvette "history" showed the first year of production to be 1953- with the "Blue Flame 6" in-line engine (same engine as in my first car, and 1951 Bel_Air 2 door coupe, 3 piece rear window,"three on the tree" stick shift. I believe that in 1955- Chevy brought out their first V-8- , but perhaps the late Mr. Kidd ordered the 6 cylinder engine for his 'Vette. RWTF

The late Gene Hill's book: "Shotgunner's Notebook" has a beautiful high grade A.H. Fox on the front DJ cover. Can any of you Fox guys i.d. it, assuming you have that great book in your library? RWTF Looks like a C.
