Please note I meant the inside of the locks are polished, etc.

How's the trigger pull?
I haven't measured them but I find the first pull quite crisp, with the second slightly heavier. Perfect? No. Acceptable? Absolutely.

Cabela's and Pacific Sporting Arms are dealers. Just a quick perusal of PSA's stock shows 33 Dickinson guns, 12 of which have double triggers. Cabela's likely has a good stock, too.

Right you are. However most are sub gauges. I wanted a 12/30. I already owned a 410 Sporter and its exellent build and peformance quality led to this purchase.

I was in Jaqua's, Findlay, Ohio, yesterday, and they have a used Dickenson, 20 bore with an extra set of 28 bore barrels for around $1,600. The gun looked like 99% to me.

Depends on the intended use for the gun with 28ga barrels. If you're looking for a 28 as a way to reduce weight when carrying in the field, a 20/28 2 barrel set is almost always the wrong way to go. Most of them are built on 20ga frames, which makes them heavier with the 28ga barrels.

But if you're thinking mainly targets and/or something like doves, where you may be shooting a lot but not carrying through the thick and nasty (like in pursuit of grouse/woodcock or maybe quail), then it may be an OK choice.

Agreed. 28 is a 20 with a smaller muzzle. Or, use the 20ga bbls if no 28ga ammo is available. Personally, I would prefer 28/410, but this 20/28 set has plenty of cool factor.

Question for the OP (or anyone else who owns one)--what is the actual, on the scale, weight of your 12 ga. Prestige SL with the 30" bbls.? Thanks.

My Estate .410 w/the second set of 28-gauge barrels weighs 5lbs5. After having the triggers (2) serviced they were much better, like 3.4 and 4lbs now. Glad to hear they are still making them.
