Im going English. Could be a dropper, I guess. Pretty confirmation, though. Im guessing a smooth gaited dog.

Dont the GSP guys amputate the tails?

Best,

Well, at least it looks like it hunts with that high tail and bleeping collar.

I have two GSPs, absolutely worthless for hunting, but aesthetically GSPs. They live out at #3 son's place. Their job is to bark when someone drives in the gate and keep barking until they leave (at least I think they stop when I leave). They belonged to my father. It's next to impossible for an 80 year old guy to properly train TWO GSPs to do anything. One of them is a biscuit eater and the other one might do well at the dog track if they'd replace the rabbit with a chicken...

I've had experience with Labs, GSPs, Chessies, English Pointers, and Irish Setters. The dog in the picture doesn't look like anything I've seen before.

A Google image search brought up "ratonero bodeguero andaluz" which clearly it is not a rat terrier.

Whatever it is, being staked out in the mud probably isn't enhancing it's skill set any...

Alan,
I almost didn't look at this thread. It's been a long day and this gave me the first chuckle of the day. Thanks.

Hilarious! We're up in Maine and its March, you know geography right? Good luck finding mud this time of year! ( photos were taken during transport) She's a rescue some a hole neglected and dumped from down south, she's an English pointer, she'll never hunt, no fault on her part, she has really good prey drive, just loss of trust makes her skittish. We'll give her a life she's never had, build some trust and find her a home where she can live out her days in peace and comfort. (Your dad looking for another hunting dog?)
Thought it would break things up with a little guess who, see most of the rubes in this small rural county have a hard time iding as well, I guess your part of Texas ain't much different! (That was humor, so please dont get upset!)
