Looks like the real deal. I emailed the seller for stock dimensions. Has 14.25" original wood before 1" pad. Drops are too low for me (2" 3.5"), though I know there are guys who manage just fine with dimensions like that. I have enough trouble with guns that fit...

Bill,
I'm pretty sure the gun is a P model, decorated to 19 level. Whoever took the pictures went to the school of "leave the important stuff out", but, I see the hinged opening lever of a P for sure. Would it have killed him to take a photo of the safety, so I could see if it was pointy, like a usual P, or rounded like a V?
The 70mm chambers seem suspicious to me with his 1910 date, as well. Yes, it could happen, but, no, it usually didn't.

He is also a bit proud of it, lousy stock dimensions, white line turd pad, bad photos, and all.

I have a 19 that will fit you much better, if you are interested in that sort of thing.

Best,
Ted

I saw this earlier today. Terrible pictures. I've never understood why sellers (especially sellers peddling high dollar guns) won't take the time to take good detailed photos of their guns. Or, perhaps I just answered my own question...

Thanks Ted, I'll stick to my V21 for now. Yes, a good pic of the safety would have been helpful! Am I right that "P" stands for "Pain in the Ass" if you need to service the gun?

Cheers,

Bil

The breech can't be removed without tools on a P. Most people really aren't capable of doing anything other than looking at a Darne breechblock that has been removed from a gun, so, I don't consider the fact you can't remove a P breech easily any big deal, one way or the other.
Ps are typically pretty nice guns. I'm not in love with this example, however.

Best,
Ted
