another one i couldn't resist at an auction

husqvarna 20 ga with custom hydrocoil recoil reducing wood stock...actually pretty nice wood. 2 3/4" chambers with cylinder bore chokes. barrels are approx 29.5" !!

not sure what this is really good for and have only fired it twice, but couldn't resist it for 400$ ...the stock must have cost more than that

i think it dates to about 1915 ?? ser # is 94594

markings are here:

i do have some odd shotguns , and some unusual drillings, old lever guns etc

i don't really collect, i accumulate i guess

An action back with a very 'modern' styled stock. I'd have to say one of the ugliest guns I have seen. However the hydrocoil stock is a curiosity that deserves a second look.

Look mate, no matter what anyone says it would be absolutely impossible to go wrong at the $400 you paid.
I like it too.

.

IMHO, back-action locks are the most attractive sidelock gun I've seen, allowing much more graceful lines than the usual suspects.

The only guns I like better are the trigger-plate round action guns from Scotland (McKay Brown, John Dickson, James McNaughton, etc).

With both tubes cylinder bore, I wonder if the owner was shooting ball/slug loads and thus thought recoil reduction was a good idea.
