Does anyone have experience with this scope? I am considering one for my .257 Roberts Ruger No. 1 project rifle.

Chukarman,
While I don't personally own one, several of my German and American friends had them mounted on their guns. All Schmidt & Bender products have the reputation of being top level optics.

I've found these to be great scopes. My one concern however is that if I remember correctly (and I may not) the eye relief isn't any to great and coupled with the difficult mounting position of a scope on a No.1 (I've never been a fan of offset rings) this combination might be hard to pull off properly. I'd compare the physical dimensions and eye relief on a scope you've had good luck with to those of the S&B model you want to use. Better to check than find an issue if you also don't like offset rings. Good luck, Ed

Good idea, thank you. I was considering only the optical quality and smaller tube (which would look better). This will go on a No. 1 in .257 Roberts with Talley rings, but I will check the clearance on the Leupold on my 7mm Remington magnum and see what I find. If it cramps reloading, it may be OUT. The eye relief is about 3.5 inches, I believe.
