My Dad is looking for a early Win. 101 field grade, 3" chambers & 32" barrels to replace one lost to theft. Say's he is having a hard time finding one & told him I would ask here. PM me if you have one you would like to sell or on any leads.

Thanks

I believe you will find the win chokes are original to the gun.

But I do understand his desire to avoid them and get as near an identical gun as possible. One will turn up, but it may be awhile.

The one w/o Winchokes/Invectors should cost well under $1000 around $700 to $800. The ones shown are ridiculously expensive. Same thing in 20ga with 26" barrels made for Sears Roebuck (Ted Williams 400?) can be found for around $600. Twelve gauge Browning Citori w/o Invectors in excellent condition can be found for under $1000, therefore, paying those prices for out of production same thing made by different Japanese company is basically stupid.

No, he wants to replace something lost, therefore, he will have to pay dearly for them 32" "Winchester" or Kodenshachester barrels. Personally I would go with B.C. Miroku Charles Daly Trap gun though barrels might have ended at about 30". I like better engraving, wood and that cute sliding ejector/extractor sliding button.

Jagermeister, I fully agree as I have the set of pre 76 BC Miroku O/U's in 12,20,28,410 & really like them but as you said he just wants to replace what he had & I told him I would try to help by asking here to see if someone had one collecting dust in their closet :^)
