I attended the 2nd annual Tunnel of Trees Side by Side Shoot in Harbor Spring, Michigan, a week ago. I encourage everyone to attend this shoot next year. It was a well run shoot. I understand that Matt Gay set the course which offered perfect targets for a SxS event. Both Saturday and Sunday's Sporting Clay event utilized the same shooting stations but with different presentations for each day. As it should, Friday's the small bore course offered the same targets for all the gauges. The side games were a lot of fun. I also commend the host club for fantastic communication, via email, prior to the shoot.
They have set the date for the 2018 shoot for September 7th-9th.

I was also at the shoot and it was very well run, with club people out on the course checking to make sure the machines were properly working etc. All of the people went out of their way to help you in anyway, even wiping down the golf carts each morning so the seats weren't wet. We will be back next year.

I attended again this year as well. This year featured more vendors. It took a lot of volunteers from the Emmet County Sportsmans Club to put on the shoot, and I made it a point to thank them as I came in contact with them. Hopefully it will continue to grow each year to become a great game fair and shooting venue in Michigan. I'm making plans to attend next year!

A very nice venue & an enjoyable shoot. Overall I thought the targets were well set for this type of shoot. Depending on the time of day & the clouds, the sun made a couple of stations difficult for us older guys to pick up the target(s) & especially on true pairs but that is nit picking & sort of the luck of the draw.

The volunteers running the shoot were very friendly & acted like they
were pleased to have your attendance, something I don't feel at every shoot.

My second time @ this shoot & I'll be back next September.

Great shoot. This club and it's volunteers are very devoted to putting on the best shoot they can. One of the best sporting clays venues for grouse hunters.

Congratulations Mike! You shot very well. Looking forward to seeing you next year. And we hope to make your Duluth Shoot.
