My sincere condolences to all my neighbors across the Irish Sea. My sincere condolences regarding the cowardly attack on the public on Westminster Bridge and near the House of Parliament and for the death of one of your police officers and one of your citizens. I'm sure the location chosen was no accident. Westminster is arguably the seat of democracy and a powerful symbol of the rights of the individual against the tyranny of any type of autocratic rule.
Well said canvasback.
Good Shooting T.C. The Green Isle

Thank you for that. I understand two other Police Officers are still critical in hospital. Strange how terrorists are using vehicles to commit murder. I wonder if there will be an outcry to have vehicles banned? Lagopus.....

Lagopus, I sure hope not. I wish to offer my thoughts and prayers to the UK and the victims at this time, now that the thread is back on course. Karl

Yeah. Hope this one does not go astray. The thought of banning vehicles makes about as much sense as banning guns. That being said, making it difficult for vehicles to get too close to high value targets--just in case they happen to be filled with explosives--is a reasonable idea. Think Oklahoma City, or the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that were taken out by near-simultaneous Al Qaeda truck bombs back in 1998. Or, for that matter, the Marine barracks in Lebanon, or the US embassy in Beirut--the latter having been hit twice.
Hoping that all those currently in hospital make a full recovery. And let us continue to stand in solidarity with our British allies in the war on terror.

Yes, we all hope our government offers all possible assistance and that our Anglo-Saxon brothers will continue to stand with us in solidarity in worldwide war on terror.

The problem with them now is that the terrorists will just drive them through a crowd of people irrespective of who they are. Very difficult to guard against. It's just after the French gun atrocity the E.U. tried to implement draconian gun restrictions that applied to all members (us included; we are not out yet). Most were vetoed as being stupid but there is always a spin off. There is a lot of anti-terrorist experience here in the U.K. and very little gets through to succeed. Lagopus.....

I believe Great Britain will leave EU often affectionately called EuroKolkhoz when I see the finale. I'm not sure British politicians will base their foreign policy decisions on what "Farmers with Pitchforks" want. Not to worry English Politicians know how to do what is good for the British Empire.

I'm sure it is the right decision. I suspect wealthy successful country like Great Britain put in a lot more than it received back.

Looks as if Scotland may try independence again, in order to remain in the EU.
