I picked up some ITX shot a while back. I wanted to load some 2 2 3/4 shells to put through my 12 ga LC Smith Longrange for decoying ducks. (Is that an oxymoron?) Anyway I did an ITX search on the forum but it came up with nothing. Did I miss something?

And Happy Thanksgiving!

Lance

Thanks Skeet.
The other question I didn't ask initially but will ask now is has anyone used any of these loads and thoughts on the 7/8 vs. 1 vs 1 1/8 ounce?

Well, I shoot close in birds, no chukars or sharptails, so the light loads do all I need.

Ducks, Geese, and doves are decoyed in, quail and pheasants are close shots.

No sky busting here smile

I have used the 7/8th load on some long for me shots with complete success. A fast crosser at over 35, but probably not 45 yds. was dead in the air. ymmv

I shoot mostly 7/8 oz of ITX 6's in a 2.5" hull for ducks and geese. I do have a couple of boxes of 1 oz 4's loaded but seldom use them as the 6's are proving ideal. I've been loading ITX for a number of years, before that Nice Shot 5's, the ITX works as well and is less expensive.

I also load ITX BB's in my 16ga & 12ga drillings and combo guns for hunting coyotes in non-tox areas.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.
