Thank you, baldrick. Those are great pictures. The brickwork in some of them is just beautiful. I really like tall structures, having never been afraid of heights, but rather attracted to heights. I have climbed every tower and silo I could, legally, just to see the view. As a kid I would climb big old pine trees so high that the trunk wouldn't support me. A friend who does maintenance on communication towers has said he will take me to the top of a 1500' tower about 45 minutes from me. It has an elevator (I'm in good shape for 64, but I know I could not climb that high!) I can hardly wait.

I would love to see those shot towers in person.

Thanks, SRH

I would love to live in one of those towers, but none of them appear to be available to guys like us. Be careful, Stan. A young fellow from Indianapolis fell to his death from a cell tower locally on May 16. I don't know how an experienced com worker could do that, but he did.

I'm very familiar with a couple of the gorgeous Victorian-era brick ones in Melbourne.

That Clifton Hill shot tower is just beautiful. How'd you like to wake up every morning and look out of the top of that at the sunrise, Murphy? Wouldn't that be something? Not so much in an electrical storm, eh?
