Thereafter, Win went to an all steel grip cap. "Grip caps were furnished as standard on all Winchester Model 21 grades except the Standard Grade." Socialism is almost the worst.

Having said that, lots of special orders guns too, some likely with and some likely without, grip caps. This particular gun appears to be a standard grade as there is no marking indicating otherwise on the floor plate, and hence, no grip cap. Last edited by buzz; 07/03/16 11:45 AM.
