Ugartechea Sixteen gauge 25" A&D gun with Churchill rib, splinter/straight grip, Southgate auto ejectors. I remember Michael McIntosh had good opinion of them. How do these hold up over extended period of use. Thanks.

They made all grade guns. Potentially a solid gun that will hold up, but in the case of most Spanish guns because of the quality spectrum you must judge by the individual gun.

As a general rule you have look at metal to metal and wood to metal fitting. The quality of the engraving, wood. The last piece is to check current condition.

In order for anyone on this board to give a better answer much more data is required

It has minimal scroll on nickeled action with no signs of mechanical wear or use. This piece was imported in mid 1980s under Parker Hale label into Cortland, NY. This brand has been imported by Excel Arms, Parker Hale, ACT, Bill Hanus, AOC and now Lion County Supply. It looks ok to me I just wanted to know if anyone used one for extended period and how well the gun is likely to hold up under use.
