To no one in particular. After years of reading double gun bulletin boards, I don't think people realize that the word they are using, means what they think it means. A la, "Princess Bride". But, I also could be mistaken. One of the esteemed gunsmiths on this board thought it was a silly word, I believe.

I barely know my a$$ from my elbow but have been using that word with that exact meaning. I picked it up somewhere.

I think longrifle (flint and percussion) builders use that term as well, although I guess the triggerguard would be the only carry over?
