the only number i've found is 12 on underside of barrels where proofs stamps are.i assumed they stood for the gauge size. bore diameter is 3/4 inch as far as i can tell without bore gauge.that's alot of great info, thank you.

Thanks for the photos Mike. Nice looking gun, I have to warn you though, another board member will be disappointed that it doesn't have platinum blow-out plugs. Apparently, he's quite the recycler!

You're going to probably have a heck of a time getting those percussion nipples removed. You can get new ones from Track of the Wolf for about $6/each. I have a proof mark directory but other board members are far better than me at reading between the lines when it comes to proof marks. However, you're correct, 12=12 gauge. I'm not sure what Hh means but I'm certain someone will know.

What are the bores like? How much does the gun and guns barrels weigh?

Steve

gun is 8 lbs. bores have a film of rust which i am working on removing. on march 23 i am taking it to a blackpowder gunsmith i found in Tucson to get the barrels checked and an overall safety check. i have the powder and shot flasks, capper, and two cap tins original to the gun.the shot flask still is about half full.the tins still have the caps in them.
