Unfortunately not a nice Whitetail buck. But first blood with my new Chapuis Series 3 in 7x57R. Last weekend from my stand. Just getting ready to call it a morning when this coyote went by. Got her walking with one shot about 70 yards. 139gr. Privi partisan load. She will have no more litters to kill deer and game birds.

Congratulations Brian. I seem to unintentionally call up two or three 'yotes every Spring Turkey season. Sometimes I shoot sometimes not. The double rifle is cool and you made a fine shot with it...Geo

Nice job, looks like a pretty good sized coyote. Can I ask how the other side looked, was the pelt salvageable? I really like the 139 gr PVV in my 7x57R Drilling, very accurate. How are they in your DR?
GN, I sold a combo gun to a fellow for turkey hunting and his first season, 2 turkeys and 6 coyotes all coming to the call/decoy.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

The side you see is the exit wound. mine shoots decent. the right barrel puts 3 in about 1 1/4" and the left same but about 3" apart. I have to work up a load for it that regulates better. It was regulated t the factory for the Norma 150 but the Privi shoots better. I got a set of dies and some Hornady 139 gr bullets to try some loads next year. That is a Leopold VX-R 2x7 30mm , illuminated #4 reticle scope on it.

Brian, keep up the good shooting. By the time I could afford double rifles, my eyes were not the best for them. I have heard that they make eye glasses for older eyes to use on double rifles, but have not found the source.

good shot to get your coyote. I use a Buhag 9.3x74R for driven wild boar in CZ it's the best. I also take a spare rifle a Browning B25 in the same calibre and it has extra barrels in 7x65R. I just returned back from CZ two weeks ago I shot 16 boar in two days with the Buhag.

Good deal, Brian.
The other thing she won't be doing is creeping up to a turkey caller this spring and appearing at his left elbow out of nowhere and scaring the livin' crap outta him! (And I THOUGHT I was quick with a scattergun! Not quick enough.).
