I shot a 20 ga 280 back in the 70s when Georgia had lots of bobwhites.Mine was 25 inch and it was deadly on the birds. Bobby

It is a copy of the Webbly Scot 700, and the RBL copied both.

My problem with the 280 is that the model 100's with the open pistol grip just always felt so good. I hunted with a 12 for years, then went to a 20 when I got older and slower. SKBs are great guns at a good price, just too light for high volume clays shooting. For clays, get a BSS.

If you're shooting something like skeet with close targets, 3/4 oz loads in one of those very light 20ga Model 100's work very well and are easy on the shoulder.
