Pretty nice wood, for factory Fox stuff. smile

Larry, I believe that is a restock.

No, it's original. Found it at a garage sale where they were asking $200. I got them down to $125.

I made my brave move in 2008 when this became my sporting clays gun. After 15 years of registered sporting and FITASC with a Beretta O/U the spark began to fade. So I stocked this 32" Fox and won another dozen or so punches in registered shoots before giving up on the NSCA.

After 60,000 rounds I had the barrels re-fit. The Perazzi gunsmith who worked on it said he shouldn't need to see Big Ann for another 100,000 rounds. Got her back just in time for the 8th annual Bo-Whoop competition a few weeks away.

UPDATE: Got an e-mail reply from Rob Johansen at SKB and 32" barrels will be available this fall. Didn't say if nthey will be available in all gauges.

I just got a new SKB 250 30 inch 410. I have never been able to shoot a vent rib side by side so I got the side plated model.
It has performed flawlessly. My partner and I put 200 rounds through it a couple of weeks ago with any problems and we were shooting reloads. The wood is very nice for a gun in this price range. The slight overruns in the checkering are a blessing to me as they offer proof of hand checkering. I would recommend it to anyone interested in shooting the small bore events at SxS events.

How much does it weigh?

Thanks for that info, John. It does sound as if SKB is getting a handle on what is desired for target work.

The 12 ga., with 32" tubes, might make a decent S x S main event gun, and double as a steel shot duck gun, as my BSS does.

Still one of the nicest restocks I've ever seen and made to play a specific game. Bet it would be awesome on long range doves. Mike, what the constriction on the chokes?

Thanks, Tom! That's a real compliment from a fella with your experience.

I opened it from .044/.044 to a pair of .024's as I anticipated shooting some FITASC with it but that hasn't happened. It could stand to be a bit more open for clays but I've gotten comfortable with it. I can drop in spreaders and have instant choice of any combination of IC & IM.

If you ever make it up to Hausmann's for the NE Classic I'd love to see some of your Foxes in hand.
