Sorry, not this year. Blenheim Palace; the venue, can be a bit of a pig to get in to for me. Lagopus.....

Sadly, the new puppy Tilly makes the visit impractical. Great shame, haven't missed one for some 15 years but puppy comes first.

Maybe it would be useful for Tilly….?! It's never too early to let them learn to know the world.

There is a local country fair; a sort of mini Game Fair that is on just 3 miles from where I live so will go to that. The CLA Game Fair next year should be at Belvoir Castle which is much handier. Lagopus.....

Yep, it will be Belvoir (pronounced beever) Castle for me too. I like to take my father along to the Game Fair and next year he will be 87. He keeps me young!
Blenheim this year clashes with a sailing regatta I have to compete in.

Not this year; we've been to the Blenheim CLA twice before.
A CLA isn't an event you can get round in one day, even two can be a bit short, so we always book a B&B or good pub as close to the venue as possible. However you need to do that at least 12 months before the event otherwise you won't get in.
The traffic management at all CLA Game Fairs is dire and Blenheim is one of the worst; you have to be on the gate prior to 7.30 - 8.00 to stand a chance of a (relatively) easy access. I always use an OS map to go across country to get there, avoiding major roads. We take a picnic breakfast to eat in the car park which helps.
Brilliant when you're in though!
Eug
Thank you, very kind. Mine's a pint
