Its not on the list. So do you have it restocked now? Is it marked Opt. anywhere (trigger guard, Bbls, Water table)? Piviot opener? Cockiing rod? Whats carved in the breach balls? Wings? Whats engraved on the bottom of the frame? Whats on the forend button? What is the forend tip?
You can email me if you would like. noble@xyz.net

Im not interested in any Syracuse Arms parts, but you might try Tom Archer.

#18592, "G" grade, 12ga.,extractor.

Horseshoe Damascus barrels 30-1/16" long, both bores measure .732. I doubt they're cut back from 32 since the right choke is at.021 & the left at .037, cones are 3-1/2" long, but who knows.

No markings on the barrels at all topside.

Pushbutton FE with metal FE tip, two hook gun, bushed pins, monogram HRBP, cocking indicators, light line engraving with sunburst on large plate screw and buttplate screws. Pistol grip with scalloped cap.

Who is it that specializes in B&W damascus refinishing? I've seen mention of a name recently and photos of some very nice work.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

Bob,
I've not finished restocking the gun yet. It is not marked Optimus anywhere, that's why I refer to it as Optimus Quality. It at least the equal of the early Optimus that is in Bob Elliot's book. The gun is a cocking rod model with a piviot lever. The bottom of the frame is carved in the style of the high grade guns and has some scroll and border engraving. The breach balls have two small clovers and a pomegranate carved on each side.

The forend button on this gun was the only metal part missing and I had Buck Hamlin replace it. I'm thinking of having a Wart Hog engraved on it so the collectors 100 years from now will go crazy. The forend tip is carved from horn and was a lovely shade of green when I got the gun.

I've shown this picture before but I think it has one of the most elegant top levers I've ever seen. Even though the picture doesn't show well the metal checkering is perfect and is at least 40 lpi.

So there you have it.

Mr. Noble, I'll share mine, I hope to aquire others.

Ser# : 18765
Gauge: 12
Grade:F
BBL length: 30
BBL type: damascus. It is not "star" or "chain" but it has little rolls. Is this the "fingerprint" pattern?
Engraving: left sideplate - setter w/quail in mouth in grass. right lockplate - pointer on point in grass.
Type grip: 1/2 pistol.

I hope this helps if you don't have this one already.

I'm still interested in images of damascus patterns. Mr. Elliott's book shows only twist and star, but lists several other patterns by name (Washington, horseshoe, etc.). Mr. Semmer's Remington book shows photos of a bunch of patterns, but uses different names than those in the Lefever book. Some I can translate and/or extrapolate (star = etoile, I think), but others I have no clue about. Again, anyone able to help? Thanks. TT
