Steven et al.,
What a nice collection of traditional single shot rifles! A lot of collective knowledge also, that shouldn't ever vanish or forgotten. I wish I could know more about them.
I remember getting a Winchester 1885 low wall out of a Chilean rodeo horses trading (yes, young stallion=gelding + rifle). Its barrel bore looked as a rat's nest, so an Husquarna .22 bore barrel was put in place. The gunsmith I commisioned reamed a Hornet K chamber for this rifle. Months later the rifle became a present to my first son and now it is gathering dust in my safe.
