About to leave for San Antonio for a few days. Any good shops to check out while I'm there?

Forget the gun shops, ask about the food. :-). Get ready for the best pit BBQ, tex-mex and authentico Mexican food in the country. Enjoy yourself.

Doesn't Diggory have a shop in that area? At least within an hour or so?

I DO concur with LeFusil abt the food - BBQ brisket and TexMex! But I'm from Texas, so I'm partial.

You also have to see the Alamo - best shrine to freedom and sacrifice in the US - ranks up there with Valley Forge.

Dury's gun shop has some neat stuff from time to time. Nice people. Be sure to check in his office where the good stuff is.

Nagel's gun shop. I have bought a few nice things from Bob.

Cabelas in Buda is less than an hour away. On the way to Austin. What are you looking for?

Also, Kirk Merrington the English double gunsmith is in Kerrville, about an hour to the Northwest.
