For years used PC with ImageShack and uploaded images to use on this forum. Now everything is on my Mac and can't seem to get anything to upload for use on this forum from either Imageshack or Photobucket. Anyone else with this problem? Randy

Have been using an iMac and Photobucket for 7-8 years I think with no problems.

What kind of error message do you get? What size files and in what format?

Rob, thanks for offering help. I have an image loaded into Photobucket. See no next step to drag and drop over to this site. Also can't seem to hold the PB site open to then open DG Forum at the same time to move images from one to the other? Did I tell you none of my grandchildren are here to help gramps with this.

RMC,

When the picture comes up on photobucket I double click on it to enlarge it, then the boxes to the right will show the links to share the picture. Click on the bottom one that says IMG to the left of it. That is the URL for that picture. when you click on it, it will highlight yellow for a slit second and say "copied", then the yellow will fade away. Your URL is then copied. Go back to the message box at DGJ and put your cursor where you want the picture to be, hold down "command" and hit "V" and it will be copied onto your message. To see if it worked just preview it.

This is what works on my Mac.

Stan, Thanks for the help, I'm just about there. Have the IMG and the words show up on the site, but can't figure how the actual image is shown. Will have to leave to pick up my wife downstate so will pick up the project tomorrow. Randy

When you paste it you won't see the image, just the long line of numbers and letters, but when you preview it the image will come up, just as it will for everyone else who looks at it.

All my best, SRH

Stan has it. PB changed their format about a year ago, there used to be links under the thumbnails, now you have to open the image to get the list of links. You want the IMG link. I open 2 windows, one with PB and the other with the BBS, and go back and forth. It's Cut & Paste, not Drag & Drop.

I've gotten the IMG wording to transfer to BBS, but will not open even when looking at the preview. Also, opened it on the site and it shows only the wording. Any other suggestions? thanks for your help, I think I'm almost there. Randy
