Got a couple of pictures for help. 12 bore. Barrels are stamped JON.HY. Andrew & Co Toledo Steel Sheffield etc. SLE, DT with articulated front trigger. Heavily engraved R&S. Third bite with Purdy style lugs. Barrels and receiver have Belgian proof marks. There was and article written in 2009 with 11+ pages. Too much information to wade thru. Does anyone know who made the shotgun, when and were and any other correct information? I would really like to identify.

You must use a photo assist like
Hunt101 or Photobucket to post pictures here

Sounds like a nice shotgun

Who wrote the article and where was it printed?

Mike

Sounds like a Belgian Gun, only pictures of proofs etc will tell

I have seen several Jules Bury made guns with such barrels, but without being able to see the pictures impossible to say

Is there a crown with a JB on the receiver flat?

Is the engraving signed on the bottom of the receiver?

Are the pins laid out ala H&H ?

These pictures are a sample for the poster to look at, not the gun the poster is trying to get identified:

I own a ARMAF with a set of barrels marked as yours are, however JON.HY. Andrew & Co sold barrels to numerous makers.

No JB and not signed that I can see. Lock look like H&H. I am working on more pictures and hopefully I can get them posted. My computer friend is unavailable but will be later.

The lion over PV reminds me of Belgian, though it doesn't have the crown over egg below...

High quality Belgian made guild H&H style side lock ejector with best gun features

Made or at least proofed in Liege Belgium (Peron stamp on receiver)

Articulated Front Trigger
Disk set strikers
Interior parts appear gold plated (sign of quality)
HNO Toledo usually quality sign as well.
good quality engraving (not highest quality)

ugly incorrect ventilated pad (unk length of pull -need to know more on actual dimensions for more judgment)

little used gun

metal in excellent condition 75% or better case hardening

Need to see close up of barrel flats for more proof marks to determine date of manufacture and possibly a makers mark.

Cannot determine maker, receiver and locks possibly sourced from Britte. They have a familiar look to them.

I suspect the forend has a Curtis pushrod release and south gate style ejectors, but without the picture cannot say for sure.

For a greater evaluation on maker need to see barrel flats up close, pictures of forend, get to know barrel length and the barrel engravings near the flats (something like 18.0 or such will tell me choke at time of proof)

Overall a nice gun, but I cannot say for sure who made it or when or give you a fair guess on value (wholesale/retail) without a little more data.
