postoak, your post elicited a "sanity check" regarding ".22lr rifle scope choice" for the odd squirrel, grackle and polecat. The response provided all sorts of opinions as usual regarding efficacy and experiences, maker, model, power, preference etc. I thought members were trying to be helpful. Why are you sorry that you asked, please?

I gotta find some middle ground. Old Lowell has taken this crew through a whirlwind journey of cheap scopes, and lump-not-through guns all in under one month. I think, too much for some to digest I gotta find some middle ground - for this crowd.

King - because it degenerated into a name calling contest - the info on the Scopes did help.

Lowell, you remind me of and uncle of mine. Argues about everything and anything, and stirs the pot. But, is about the best guy to drink cheap outdated beer with around the holidays. He ordered a brand new Cadillac years ago. Had it all; upgraded everything and leather seats - the works. But he worked it with the dealer so the car was shipped without tires. Figured he'd put on an old set he had around the farm. While the car was still nice, it never quite gave the smooth ride Cadillac's are known for.

jack Very dang little, I have mowed my yard three time since the first of July, and once was just to run the mower. Even the Mesquites are wilting.

Seems Gunshop.com rimfire shooter are more discriminating scope buyer. Hardly a mention of Leupold over at rimfire central. "Use what makes you most comfee."
