Thanks to Axel E.'s keen eye there is a direction to search which is toward Coggy and Edgar Harrison of 29 Gillingham Street, London, S.W. being GB Nr. 4005 of 1895 and accepted February 22nd, 1896.
But who would have guessed that someone would have installed a British single trigger in a filthy foreigner's wares? C&H give that most of their single triggers were non-selective but they would meet their client's whims. Seems this trigger if selective would have had a button selector toward the rear of the triggerplate(tab G in Figure 9?).
Seems quite a bit of single trigger development occurred in the 1890s with A.A. Cook and W. Moore Grey filing 1st with GB patent 21,204 1891 and then John Robertson, proprietor of Boss & Co. had GB patent Nr. 20,873 of 1893, Nr. 5897 of 1894 and Nr. 22,894 of 1894. Appears he was King Cotton of the single triggers for a time. In 1895 Edgar Harrison was joined by H.A.A. Thorn, proprietor of Lancaster, having GB Nr. 5517 and Fredrick Beesley with Nr. 10,133. This was Edgar Harrison's last successful breech-loader/scattergun patent.
Kind Regards,
Raimey
