Being that they are 1 million orders behind on rifles/handguns I would say no.

There is a new posting on SGW from a guy who follows this stuff and he claims to have communication from Ruger that they will be reintroducing the Red Label, relatively soon.

They should begin with the 28, the best of the lot.

And I wonder if an alloy-receivered Red Label would work out OK? I have shot a Beretta O/U with an alloy receiver and found it very usable, at least the 28" barreled one I shot. Swung OK and carried VERY well. The 12 and 20 Red Labels have always had a "weight problem" for me, at least for upland use.

"Re-introducing soon" in the world of Ruger means 2-3 years. They are notoriously bad when it comes to announcing products and starting production. The 28-ga RL was at least two years as was the infamous "Gold Label."

I do hope they bring the RL back although there are plenty of them available on the used market.

That infamous Gold Label!! All that money spent to produce a side by side that could have been better spent refining their Red Label, I'll never understand that move.

Supposedly, Ruger has suggested they will release a new shotgun in "the middle of the summer" this year. I'd say it's about that time.

Ruger is building a new production facility in North Carolina.

Also, the market has enough Red Labels. It is time for Ruger, from a marketing strategy, to introduce a new shotgun!

Maybe this will be a new Shotgun Facility?

NEWPORT — The decision by gun manufacturer Sturm, Ruger & Co. to open a third manufacturing plant at a 220,000-square-foot facility in North Carolina came as no surprise to state economic development officials, who said they had worked closely with company management in the hope of convincing them to expand in New Hampshire.

Ruger currently employs about 1,200 at its foundry in Newport and another 900 in Prescott, Ariz. With firearm sales going through the roof over fears of gun control, the company in May announced plans to expand and create 500 to 700 new jobs at a third factory.

Company President Michael O. Fifer told shareholders at their annual meeting in May that the $30 million expansion would not be in New England. “We’re growing by leaps and bounds in Arizona and New Hampshire,” he said at the time, “and we’re not taking any jobs out of those places. Those plants are fully employed, and we expect to continue adding jobs incrementally.”

Even though I didn't like the way Ruger treated its Red Label, I'll have to admit you cannot get better customer service anywhere in any industry.
