Mike, Don't leave out Loachapoka and you would not believe all the ways people pronounce Opelika.

Long time ago my brother (and business partner) spent two weeks in Opelika at the Ram Golf factory learning how they made golf balls and golf bags. We were considering doing some of the work in Canada to reduce the applicable duties. He said it was hot, humid and the people were unbelievably nice.
The world cries out for such: he is needed & needed badly- the man who can carry a message to Garcia

Coosa, you aren't that far away,I'm 22 miles north of Auburn/Opelika.I guess you know where Auburn is.I would guess also that not everyone can pronounce Sylacauga, if they don't live in this part of the world. Most can't pronounce LaFayette either. Mike Mike - I have 2 degrees from Auburn, so I know where it is, and have even been to Lafayette several times.

None of those have changed. Only now it's real hard to know where Auburn ends and Opelika starts (or the reverse). There's shopping centers and condo's where I used to bird hunt.

I forgot about that one, Mike. Funny how us slow talking country boys don't have a problem. <GRIN> Pilgrim, That's a good bird! Here are couple my buddy and I got on a fine spring morning at my Fitzpatrick, Al place, which isn't far from Auburn. Here's what some of their breast meat looked like after spending some time on my Big Green Egg.

Mike, I filet the breast into 1/4" strips, stuff with a mixture of cream & blue cheese, chopped green onion, roll it and wrap with thin sliced bacon, season to taste, brush just a little sauce on before removing from grill. Moist, tender, and makes one throw rocks a barnyard turkeys.

Bill D, That didn't do anything to help me get over being "hongry". Mike
