I think I'd start with an about 1/4" x1/2" piece of flat cold rolled for a handle??

Theres a gent that posts on Accurate Reloading and Mauser Central that was making a Brno type spoon handle, guess you could do a little grinding to make it look like a pre-war M-S or the type Meier use to sell. He posts as donmarkey.

I got in touch with Don and have a handle on the way. Still need a bolt though. I have bits and pieces but no bolt body still.
Thanks for all the support.

Good morning

The last time I looked, Sarco Inc listed parts for a Greek M-S.

It may be worth a call to see what they have.

I am a big fan of M-S, have 2 commercial models, 2 bubba'ed greek rifles and three greek actions. The greeks are all future project rifles.

Good Luck with your project.

Sarco is certainly worth a call. Now, about seeing what they have, that's a pony of another hue....because it looks like Bob assumes they KNOW what they have. In my experience their inventory is almost as much a mystery to them as the (also in Jersey, I suspect) whereabouts of the late J. Hoffa.

On the other hand, we're all hunters here, aren't we? Hope springs eternal--Hope you score. Try several shots at different times; the employee you get is everything.

Keep us abreast of developments! I love a mystery. And a resurrection.

Sarco has no stock on these at all, Springfield sporters list ones that are pitted, but they will not open until late this week. Is there any parts dealers in Germany that might have a real Steyr bolt and not just a Greek bolt?

Mike can't speak for all of Europe but it seems unless you have a special government permit. Certain things like receivers bolts etc can not be shipped.I know my friend in Austria finds unbelievable parts etc. But no way he can ship it too me.Whitey

I got really lucky and go the bolt on ebay for 34.00, and I have a nice bolt handle on the way too. Now I need a firing pin spring.
