My son got to shoot the Uggie boxlock I cut down for him today, and it took him a while to warm up but he started to get a few doubles at the end. He shot 100 ounce and an eighth rounds from a 6 pound 12 gauge with a checkered butt today and that is a lot of abuse for a ten year old.

I also got to shoot a round of wobble trap with the Harrison I just bought so we had a great day.

I saw that young man break four out of six today, on a station composed of a simo pair that crossed each other twice. The station was giving some veteran shooter fits.Hats off to his dad for supporting his interest in the shooting sports.

I buy every box of those shells I can find on the shelf (I just cleaned out the local Dicks tonight) to shoot in my old hammergun.

Great to see a young man out shooting. Also, a thanks to Chuck Bishop and Blue Ridge for a great shoot. Great targets on a beautiful course at a reasonable price. Lots of nice Foxes and Parkers being used. I believe everyone had a great time.

I would also like to second all that Hammergun said about Blueridge, it is a very nice venue. I would also like to add that my son shoots for half price, which probably barely covers the cost of his targets.
