I like to do wood working and received a catalog that had an interesting item that might be good for checking bores of pitted barrels. It won't give you the depth, but you should be able to get an idea of what they look like on the monitor.
The camera probe is 1/2" in diameter and 1 meter (39" long)

What are your thoughts?

A couple of thoughts. The probe / camera is 12mm or 0.47" in diameter, so .410 is out. It has a viewable distance of.98" to 11.8" (2.5 to 30cm). It does have a 45 degree mirror.

If you can live with those spec's, then it looks ok. I like the large screen.

Then what ?

It seems quite a few on here are always worried about their barrels having pits and the first thing they want to do is have them removed, why, I don't know.

It is almost the same when someone buys a gun that is choked full/full or mod/full and even before they have the gun in their hands, want to have the chokes changed.

Pete, yes, the .410 is out. I had tried one from another company that would only fit into a 12ga. The reach was only about 18" and it would not fit in the muzzle end.
I would think for those worried about pitting, that the darker the area, the deeper the pit.

There was one something like that for sale here in a local store before Christmas for $80.00. I thought about getting one for shotgun bores. I didn't but I still wonder how well it would have worked for said application.
