Looks like the guy could have backed the distance off more, and used more shot. I read somewhere the big punt guns used 40-80 Drams of powder and 1-1.5# of shot. What was the bore size on that one?

I saw this on another site. I believe that the owner stated that the bore was 2" in diameter. Quite a piece of equipment!

There is a great book on this stuff titled "The Outlaw Gunner" by Harry Walsh. If you can find a copy, it's a must have for market gunning history.
At one time there was one in the H&H shop in Manhattan. Don't know if it's in the current location.
