kcordell: You've GOTTA leave those barrels as is, perhaps with a touch up by a real expert in refinishing Damascus, if you must. Interesting post, and many thanks to Drew and Murph for pictures and a little history on the Daly.

I have redone a set of American Arms 12 GA.etched barrels that had some blemishes but didn't need to be struck. They had the same pattern as the 10 GA. barrels shown in the previous post. They are my barrels and I was able to leave the etching alone, and am very pleased with the final result. :Mike

Mike: Did you refinish in black & white? Please post ultra close up images of the pattern, or send by jpg attachment to revdoc2@cox.net

I own the Lindner that eightbore refers to that Doug worked his magic on. If there is a gun out there with more beautiful barrels, I truly want to see her.

Gents, you have to see these barrels yourself to appreciate them. Photos just do not do them justice.

I would very much like to have a better image of the barrels for the DamascusKnowledge website if you could please send a high resolution close up by jpg attachment to revdoc2@cox.net and thanks! I will of course attribute the image unless you'd rather not.

Drew,

I have some photos that a professional photographer took of the gun and both barrel sets for a publication that was featuring an article on Doug and his works.

I will look for them and if there are not close ups of the barrels, I will set the Nikon on a tripod the next sunny day we have and try to get you some for your files.
