Good afternoon everyone

This past saturday I picked up a C.G. Edwrds & Son-Plymouth shotgun at a pawn shop here in Ok. City. It is a 12 ga. 27 7/8" barrels that have been re-sleeved. It is proofed for nitro 1 1/8. Straight grip, weighs 6 pounds 5 ounces; fits me perfect.

Whoever did the sleeving relaid the top rib with a slight cant.
The gun is in really good shape for its age. Do any of you have an idea what it would cost to relay the top rib?

It looks like it was proofed for 2 1/2" shells, so that is what I will use. I will get some vintage shells from either RST, Kent or Polywad. Any suggestions.

I'll try and post some pictures a littlr later.

Thanks

Bob

Keith Kercher can relay ribs. His site says it would be about $140 for a top rib. Wouldnt you need to have the barrels after a relay? Most rust blue jobs runs $200-$350.

Got any pics of your new gun?

Good luck!

Thanks guys for the information. Relaying the top rib is not as expensive as I thought it would be. Can't see how it could be done without having to re-blue the barrels.

I'll post pics when I get the chance.

Bob
