The only worthwhile gunshop is Locks at 6700 Rowland Ave, Phone: (215) 332-6225 or (215) 332-6790.

Definitely visit Independence Mall and the Constitution Center,
Eastern State Prison on Fairmount Ave has some history and several nearby restaurants (Rembrandts, Londons).

Best steaks these days probably Tony Lukes at Front & Oregon. For roast beef or pork sandwiches, Nicks' at 20th and Jackson.

In my family, we have a bunch of standing jokes about Pennsylvania food. Stuff like:

Quote:
You know you're in Pennsylvania when seven sweets and seven sours is the definition of a balanced diet.

You know you're in Pennsylvania when you can tell the time of day by what's served with your scrapple.

And a whole bunch more....

Locks has some nice doubles right now. You can also shoot clays at the Holmesburg Fish & Game club up on State Rd. on weekends. Or you can hang out on Kensington Ave. meet interesting people and have a good time.

Nialmac:

You forgot to mention that a trip to Kensington Avenue might also give you some diseases that cannot be cured with penicillin.

The best cheesesteaks I've ever had have come from the Reading Terminal Market.
