Pricing is kinda like buying indian jewelry...Normal Price 10,000, today only half off, with discounts 7.98.... I was thinking just like Mao wristwatches from a street vendor on the Tianamen.

For those of us in the American vintage era, its all a big yawn.

Rumor has it that some CSMC Inverness shotguns have been completed and shipped. Anyone out there receive any word on their Inverness order from CSMC?

I'm not holding my breath but it'll sorta be like a surprise package when it comes--a surprise because I'd just about forgotten I'd ordered one. It'll be my first O/U.....guess I'm going over to the dark side. Please don't excommunicate me from this esteemed august body.

So, Mr. Wood and Mr. Murphy both ordered the Inverness. That's a bit like Bill Clinton donating to the Tea Party. There must be something there.

I handled the Inverness, and spent some time with it, at the Fall Classic last weekend. If the importance of it is that it is an American made, well built 20 ga. O/U, that can be tailored to one's specifications, it appears to be a real winner. If I did not own a 20 ga. O/U that has already made me scores of memories in the field for the past 9 years I would seriously consider ordering one.
Problem is, I shoot a 687 SP II Sporting (30" barrels) that fits me like it was built just for me, and shoots where I look. I will never be able to wear it out, it is deadly reliable, and pretty nice looking, IMO. And I bought it new for under 1600 dollars.
Much as I like the Inverness, and the fact it is American, I can't throw the baby out with the bathwater, and I can't justify owning two 30" 20 ga. O/Us. I hope they shoot like a literal death ray for ya'll, 'cause they sure are nice to look at and handle.
