Jani has asked me to post these photos he took at the last IWA ten days ago.
This is info supplied by him:

This was the first time a gunmaker from Slovenia was attending IWA. His name is Gunmaker Spendal of Ljubljana:
photo 8 shows his double rifle in 9,3x74 R and photo 9 shows his single shot hammer rifle in 8x75
RS.

Enjoy,

JC

I was IWA last week but missed this fine gun display. Strangely, I was in a mtg today with 10 Slovenian military members. Ljubljana is a fabulous city, I highly recommend a visit if you have the chance.

That 8x75 stalking rifle is a wonder to behold. Save me a 7x65R, please. Maybe a little less ornate, tho.

Absolutely love those hammers! Glad to know someone is still out there trying to build the best. Thanks for posting. Steve

Anyone ever build an antelope motif into hammers before?

JC, thanks for posting my photos.

Steve, I think the animal in question is actually Alpine ibex (Steinbock, kozorog). I don't remember this motif being used for hammer before, except on other Gunmaker Spendal guns.

With kind regards,
Jani

Fabulous gun making. Is the sharp color demarcation in the wrist of the rifle a wonderfully done Splice For strength or just the way the wood naturally occurred
