I am looking for a pre-war Krieghoff o/u shotgun to either examine or possibly buy. The particular model was patented under DRP 496390 and can be distinguished from the other o/u's by the absence of locking barrel extensions. It is similar to the post-war K32 in appearance but does not have the locking top shroud. I don't think many were made as they were complicated and expensive. They were also quite lightweight and might have been popular with target shooters.

Friar Fred of Utah, have you already missed one:

If not, how does your fancy differ? Or do you just 1/2 fancy the above?

Kind Regards,

I saw this on some other sites. The difference is that the one I am looking for does not have the locking lugs on the barrels. If you look up the patent, you will see what I mean. It has a totally unconventional (and weird) locking system. Could I get you to look in your closet?

Hum, some what of a tall order and I would suspect sourcing from either Gebrüder Rempt/Remo or August Schüler as both were in the O/U-Bockflinte design realm and I don't think Krieghoff adopted the Remington Model 32 design till about circa 1960. Did Remington make any Model 32s post WWII other than the assembly of pre-WWII components in 1946?? Nothing akin in my closet.

Kind Regards,
