The folks in New Britain have a new offering - a round-body 20 ga. OU.

Inverness

It is being offered with the same pricing scheme as the RBL.

I would think the 30" barrel version would make a sweet dove gun. Too bad there are not solid rib, fixed choke and DT options (perhaps later?).

Doesn't $700 extra for a long tang seem a bit excessive?

Nice looking gun, but overpriced for today's market and even high in relation to the original RBL 20 pricing scheme.

Some of the options are a bit high such as $550 for leather covered pad and the above mentioned long tang. I ordered the base gun seem reasonable enough price. Nice looking on the computer hope not to be disappointed.

I couldn't rationalize one of these when there are used guns out there like a 20 ga Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon II for well under $2K. I have two RBLs and like them, but I think Tony has missed the mark with the new offering.

I think the question is how much you care about round-bodied OUs. The basic B. Rizzini round-body OU retails for just under $5k and the basic Guerini Ellipse goes for $4k. But if you don't care about round bodied OUs, there are various less expensive Beretta SP options that likley shoot just as well.

Interestingly, the B. Rizzini round-body OU is also called the Inverness, and CSMC is the sole US distributor for B. Rizzini - is it possible that CSMC is taking Rizzini Inverness actions and barrels in the white and finishing and stocking them? The website does not say expressly that the guns are made by CSMC.

I like it. Been waiting for a round body O/U from CSMC. Figured it was only a matter of time. And here it is...... I'm in!

I handled the exact gun in the ad at the Dallas Safari Show and it was sweet. However the only way I'd play up front is if they'd give me the Show gun right then and there. Bananas on waiting for Tony to make my discounted order 1-2 years from now

Did that gun have 30 in or 28 in tubes? I thought the A-10's were delivered in a timely manner. I may be wrong. Didn't keep up with that. Anyone can speak to the A-10 delivery time?

Clif W. Is it rose and scroll engraving? It's hard to tell in the photos.

That question is sorta like asking which way shotgun barrels should be oriented - lots of opinions and divided consensus. Here is a recent post on the SSM board: A10 order time
