After waiting 20 months for delivery my friends gun finally arrived. Looked very nice and shot well for less than a hundred rounds! The gun will absolutely not open. He will have to ship it back with two empty hulls in it. Anyone else have any problems with theirs? Mine is supose to be shipped next week. I hope I am not as disapointed.

Bummer. By all accounts they will take care of him.

C.S.M.C. seems determined to give Ruger a run for their money in terms of having a need to demonstrate outstanding customer service.

Lightning won't strike twice, though, your gun will be great...

Send pictures and price. I missed the deadline. I don't care if it works.

Could be that the firing pin is stuck in the spent primer? I do not know how to fix that.

eb,
Steve Barnett has an RBL for sale on his website. PG, BTFE, ST, coin finish. $4300 I think.

Jag, Bill Calton (RBL owner) from that other board has been having trouble logging on here. He wonders if you could provide more specifics about the RBL not opening.

Quote:

My registration is messed up at Gunshop. Would someone be kind enough to inquire about the specifics of the gun that will not open - whether the toplever will not work, can the forearm be removed, etc?

Firing pin stuck in a spent primer cure:
Hold the gun in both hands and while pushing the top lever over break the gun smartly over your upper leg. It won't damage the gun and will usually dislodge the firing pin from the primer. Anyone have another solution?

erik and Bill, The opening lever will move but not far enough to open, the fore arm will come off. I also thought it may be a stuck fireing pin and suggested inserting a wooden dowel in the barrels to the breech and giveing it a rap with a plastic mallet. I will report back when I have more info.
