I copied this from Daryl's link for those of you not registered on the Julia's website.

W. & C. SCOTT & SON RARE PATENT ACTION QUINTUPLE LOCK DBL BBL DAMASCUS HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 6527. Built on a most unusual top lever action with 29-3/4" Damascus bbls with smooth concave tapered rib, dbl ivory beads, doll's head extension, dbl lump and extractors. Rib is marked "SCOTT'S PATENT QUINTUPLE BOLT" with the maker's name & address. Sides of the breech end of the bbls have small bulbous extensions to accommodate the unusual locking pins that protrude from the sides of the fences. It is mounted in very nicely figured English walnut with checkered splinter forearm that has the Scott patented center push button release. It has pistol grip stock with tear drop side panels, 14-1/8" over a checkered horn buttplate. Lockplates are engraved with a setter & duck on the left side and a fox & duck on the right side with a fine border pattern and light flourishes of arabesque patterns scattered about. Trigger guard has a flying snipe and the engraving extends about 1" over the chamber end of the bbls. Accompanied by its orig, leather, green felt-lined, trunk case with compartments for the gun & a curious 8-section compartment in the lid. Drop at the heel 3-1/8", drop at the comb 1-7/8". Weight: 8 lbs. 4.3 oz. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 65-70% thin orig Damascus pattern. Receiver retains case colors in the sheltered areas with the lockplates retaining 75-80% strong orig case colors. Wood is sound with light handling & use marks and retains most of its fine orig finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bores with some scattered fine pitting and one or two spots of heavier pitting. Case is dry & worn with moth eaten lining. 4-55317 JR597 (1,500-2,500) [sale: GUN Fall 05]

The webpage said it went for $1995. Don't know if it included the vig or not.

Best,

Mike

Best guess I have is it'll struggle to reach the starting price. While very interesting and seemingly solid it is fairly plain. It is going to be quite expensive to properly replace/repair the badly buggered screws. And the barrels probably need a new browning. So my take is this is a fixer upper that could be brought back. Question: is that a stress crack rising from the top of the left lock and heading towards the tang?

Amarillo, not sure what the vig is, but the Julia listed price did include the buyer's premium.

Nice shotgun, The few buggered screws are really the only detraction. The starting price is the minimum I need for the shotgun. If I were a different sort of seller, I would have started it at a penny and have it bid up by people I know. I won't do that. If it doesn't sell I really don't mind keeping this one in the vault for a while although the British doubles find themselves in back row... If you think my starting price is too high then don't bid. Its all pretty simple. Three day inspection with return priveledge minus all shipping is in order to insure my accurate description.
