OP Hammergun Sidelock Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 737 Likes: 23 The Eastern Shore	I have been given an 1891. It has the original chambering, headspace is ok and is in very good overall condition. Are these rifles considered safe to fire with modern commercial ammunition? I've read comments on the web that go from describing them as great rifles to others who say they are never safe to fire. Thanks in advance for your comments.
