What the hell are those Racoonish/Badgery/small furry bear like things!!! Couldn't get a good look at the face, video was kinda messed on my PC, but they looked a bit like raccoons, but way more beefy? Anyone know? Franc

That's what they are. Native to the eastern Asia, look a bit like American racoon, but have nothing in common biologically, introduced to the European Russia in the 1950s because of supposedly valuable fur, became a pest and a threat to black grouse and other land-nesting game birds.

GREAT! Thank you SO MUCH, Birdog for putting these up. I enjoy the heck out of watching these, they have a strange magnetic pull.
Of course, knowing where they're from is half the fun/attraction too, I think.
I just enjoy them!
