Things just keep looking better. Sometimes we have problems with standing crops, you cant hunt these dense cornfields, cant even walk through them. But I am noticing all the beans are up and the Smith boys to the east are picking irrigated corn today! Now, if they wil just cut the Milo tall.........

Last Dollar: Sure sounds like you guys are going to have fun on your hunt! How does your quail population in Kansas look for this year? With the drought Oklahoma and Texas aren't looking too good. Chuck: Are you sure that .410er of yours is gonna be able to kill those tough rooster pheasants?? I always heard they were 12 ga material.

Our quail population took some pretty good hits over he past few years..Drought and hard winters...I have seen more quail this week than I have in a long time...maybe they are on the comeback..I wouldnt drive up here to hunt em tho...We have LOTS of prairie chickens, see flocks every day...Thats a good thing...Like Chuck said earlier about the .410..It aint the arrow, its the indian..
