Nope. I have one for my wife and we love it as a clay buster...super design and great to shoot. 20 bore.

Thanks for reply. A shooter from WI told me a rumor of problems of small gauge cynergys have made it difficult to sell both new and used pieces in his area. Trying to find if this is wide spread.

The Cynergy had some teething problems.

Two recalls in the first six months.

I finally sent mine back when it quit shooting. A piece had broken off the safety, and jammed up the works.

To Browning's credit, turnaround was swift and they did fix it.

They also set the triggers at 6 pounds, which I had to have corrected locally.

Not everyone can do a Cynergy trigger job either... it's a pain in the ass to disassemble and takes some study.

It is, however, an excellent shooter. Nobody who's tried one says otherwise.

I was part of a group of outdoor writers that put the Cynergy through its paces before it was available to the public. These were 12ga guns only. We shot both targets and pheasants in SD, in pretty cold weather. In some cases, the 2nd barrel would not fire. However, we were all wearing gloves, and some of that may have been the glove catching on the trigger. We did have ejection problems, which Browning fixed by polishing the chambers a bit better.

Since then, I had one of the 28ga Feathers as a field test gun. Put quite a few rounds through it (all at targets), without the slightest problem. And I hit skeet birds very well with it, in spite of the gun's light weight (5 3/4#, with 28" barrels). Thought about buying it, but I can't get myself past the looks. Guess I'm more of a traditionalist.

I have them in 12 and in 20 bore, 12000 to 13000 rounds between them. Just got the 20 back from Browning after an ejector repair. The ejector rod was held to the ejector iron by a pin which became loose. This was a flaw in early Cynergy designs and Browning updates for no charge. Turn around was less than two weeks. My 12 is similar vintage but the pins haven't loosened; I'll send it in anyway at some point to get updated.

Otherwise they've been great guns, soft shooters, and I'd buy them both again.
