As above I have an Atkin that feels slightly loose. My best options are what? I'm in upper midwest. Gun supposedly was put back on face in 1970's by Purdey. Thanks in advance. Gunsmith suggestion appreciated. Bob

Uh oh...here we go :-) Watch this simple question turn into a 5 or 6 page debate, I hope not, but I have my doubts!

Ken Eversull (Louisiana)
Del Whitman (Michigan)
Paul Hodgins (Utah)
Reto Beuhler (Oregon)
Abe Chaber (Conneticut)
Dennis Potter (Wisconsin)

All of these gunsmiths can either re-joint or re-grip your Atkin in a professional manner. There are options out there, best thing to do is to call the guy you want to do the work and discuss the game plan, be open minded to the fact there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Couple other WI gunsmiths:
Hugh Lomas in Elkhart Lake
Mark Beasland in Mosinee

Both do excellent work with doubleguns.
