Does anyone have/know the steps needed to remove the stock that is on a 1930's era JP Sauer drilling?
The Trigger guard, bolt and Greener safety are off.
I suppose it is a Blitzschloss = trigger plate locks drilling. On German guns you cannot simply pull out the stock to the rear after removing the tang screw like on a Winchester 94! Lots of fine drillings were ruined by GI trying this in 1945. Remove the rear tang screw AND the screw holding the trigger plate to the action bar. This is the big screw in front of the triggerguard screwhole. A little bit of jiggling now fees the action from trigger/lockplate and stock. Remove the action first. Now the triggerplate with the locks may be pulled down, out of the stock. BTW the Greener safety needs not to be removed.
